V&A - The Furrow Cotton Fabric - Birds in Nature by Charles Voysey
The Furrow is a cotton fabric by the V&A from their Birds in Nature collection based on work by Charles Voysey. A lovely fabric with a blue, green and yellow print.
Charles Francis Annesley Voysey (1857-1941) was an English architect and popular designer of the Arts and Crafts Movement. He designed a broad range of furniture and textiles including fabrics, tiles, carpets, wallpaper, furniture and ceramics.
His best-known works today are his two-dimensional designs characterized by simple, stylized repeat patterns featuring motifs found in the natural world. He was particularly fond of birds and his designs reduce their complex forms into blocks of colour, while retaining their main characteristics.
This mid-weight pure cotton fabric is ideal for dressmaking, quilting, patchwork and all your other craft projects.
Delicate machine wash 30°C. Cool iron. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.
